About Us

Who we are

The Cortlandt Democratic Committee is made up of Cortlandt residents who are dedicated to promoting progressive change and Democratic values in the Town of Cortlandt.   Since the late 1980s, the Democratic Party’s leadership in the Town of Cortlandt has led to an era of clean and efficient government, an impressive record of low tax increases and smart growth.  The town’s dedication to recreation opportunities and green space is unmatched.  The Cortlandt Democratic Committee is dedicated to pushing that legacy forward into the future through continued smart, progressive solutions for our community.

The main work of our committee is to find and support candidates who will make our community stronger.  At each level of government, the Cortlandt Democratic Committee finds candidates who will work hard for our Town, our County, our State and our Country.   We are also forever working to promote social justice and bring forth progressive change in every way we can.

Our Officers

District Leaders

District Leaders are the heart of the Cortlandt Democratic Committee.  Cortlandt is divided into election districts.  Each election district has up to two district leaders who are dedicated to representing their district in the Committee.  If you are interested in becoming a district leader please contact us at cortlandtdems@gmail.com and we’ll invite you to our next meeting.
